Museum 50th Anniversary Open House

Cake and root beer ice cream floats were popular for the many visitors to the open house celebrating the Pierce Historical Society Museum 50th Anniversary this past Sunday, July 12. There was a constant stream of people stopping by the museum taking in the exhibits and enjoying the refreshments as temperatures hit the 90s Sunday afternoon.
Society officials said, “We were very pleased with the attendance and all the great comments that were received.”
Over 100 attended (103 actually signed the guest book). There were a number of first time visitors that spent a couple of hours viewing the exhibits.
Many participated in the treasure hunt and the presidential trivia contests.
