Flag Day Is June 14

Members of the Pierce American Legion will conduct an official “flag burning” ceremony on Monday, June 15, at 9:00 a.m. at the American Legion Memorial in Gilman Park to dispose of worn and old American flags and United States military flags.
Residents that have old and worn flags, may drop them off at the Pierce American Legion and the Pierce County Leader and they will be disposed of properly.
Local residents are also urged to fly the American Flag on June 14, in recognition of Flag Day.
