Katie Vogt Is Academic All-American
Doane University student-athlete Katie Vogt of Pierce, has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Second Team, recognizing her excellence both in the classroom and in competition.
The Academic All-America program honors the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined achievements in academics and athletics. Vogt becomes one of the nation’s top honorees after putting together another standout season that included conference championships, All-America performances and a national title.
Vogt capped her indoor season by earning two NAIA All-America honors at the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. She placed third in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 54.40 seconds after running 54.91 in the preliminary round, while helping the Tigers capture the NAIA national championship in the 4×400-meter relay with a winning time of 3:42.32. Earlier in the season, she claimed GPAC Indoor titles in the 400 meters and 4×400 relay while adding a third-place finish in the 200 meters. Vogt recorded victories in the 400 meters at the Prairie Wolf Indoor, Concordia Classic and Concordia Invite, consistently ranking among the NAIA’s top quarter-milers throughout the winter.
The success continued during the outdoor campaign as Vogt established herself as one of the premier 400-meter runners in the country. She earned All-GPAC honors by sweeping the conference championships in both the 200 meters (24.18) and 400 meters (54.35), while also running on Doane’s runner-up 4×400 relay. At the prestigious Drake Relays, Vogt turned in a career-best 53.92 to finish second in the collegiate division of the 400 meters before helping the Tigers place fourth in the 4×400 relay.
At the 2026 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, Vogt earned two more All-America honors by placing fourth in the 400-meter dash in 54.37 after running 54.14 in the preliminaries and anchoring the Tigers to a fourth-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay in 3:45.19.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, Vogt collected numerous event victories, including wins in the 400 meters at the Concordia Invite, NWU/Doane Dual, GPAC Outdoor Championships and multiple indoor meets, while also helping Doane’s 4×400 relay teams claim titles throughout both seasons.
Vogt’s selection to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team adds another prestigious honor to an already remarkable year and reflects her commitment to excellence in the classroom while competing at one of the highest levels in collegiate track and field.
The College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® program recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined excellence in academics and athletics. To be eligible, nominees must meet minimum standards for both academic achievement and athletic participation before advancing through district and national voting conducted by CSC members.
Katie is the daughter of Brad and Stacy Vogt of Pierce, and a 2022 graduate of Pierce High School.
