Wellness Day Highlights Importance Of Foot Health

The Pierce Senior Citizens Center hosted its monthly Wellness Day on Thursday, June 25, featuring guest speaker Peg Wemhoff of Feet First Medical Pedicures.
Wemhoff presented valuable information about medical pedicures and the important role they play in maintaining overall health. She explained that medical pedicures are vital for preventing serious infections and helping manage chronic health conditions that affect the feet.
Individuals with conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or fungal infections are especially susceptible to foot complications. Wemhoff emphasized proper foot care can help prevent ulcers, infections, and other serious issues, making regular medical foot care an important part of maintaining health and independence.
