Pierce Museum Celebrates 50th Anniversary This Summer

This photo shows chairmen and committee members who worked on the Pioneer Jubilee Celebration June 9 and 10, 1939, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of Pierce County. The 1934 Diamond Jubilee parade entry featured the remaining pioneers that arrived in Pierce County in 1869. Those being: Herman Manske, Albert Otto, William Manske, driver Leonard Kolterman, Gus Lierman, Anna (Lierman) Magdanz and Mary (Manske) Otto. The wagon was used by the Frederick Kolterman family when they traveled from Wisconsin to Pierce County in 1869.
